These are handmade primitive “Standup Kinda Guys” Santa’s. Each one is about 12” high. They are each mounted on a piece of distressed wood. Their faces are hand-penciled on. They have beards that are hand felted on with real sheep’s wool. Their hats and pants and one of the shirts are red flannel & the other shirt is made from a piece of wool fabric. The boots are painted & then mounted on a dowel & glued to the wood base. There is grubby trim on each Santa & I sewed rusty bells on each hat & down the front of the shirts. Their belts are grubby string & then I frayed the ends. One of the Santa’s is holding a flag that is all hand painted with the stars & stripes. There is also a bottle brush tree attached to the wood base. The other Santa is holding a “tree” that I made from a stick from my yard. This is made from a pattern by Sweet Meadows Farm.
This is the Christmas skating crow! He's all handmade & is about 20" tall. His eyes are made from beads that I stitched on by hand. Just look at those skates! They are sticks from my back yard that I wired on with some rusty wire. Even the candy canes are handmade! They are tied onto the ticking scarf that is all grubbied up. His wings are flapping just trying to get enough speed to skate away. He's all painted up & grubby. I used a rusty pin in the back so you can hang him or you can lean him up against a cabinet or a cabinet door. This is a signed & dated piece. This is a Kentucky Primitives pattern.
This is a super cool Santa door doll with a crow on his hat! All this is handmade & ready for your Chirstmas decor. The Santa is about 20" long. His beard & hair are handfelted on with real sheeps wool. On the front of him is a stitchery that has "T'was the night before Christmas 1807", handstitched on a piece of grubby osenburg. His hat & scarf are made from grubby ticking with a rusty bell on the tip of the hat. His eyes are hand stitched on as well as his nose. I added a rusty to each corner of the stitchery on the front. His arms are sticks from my back yard for the final primitive touch. This is a pattern by Tennessee Ridge Primitives.
Here's another awesome, handmade, primitive Santa! This one is pretty primitive too. He's stands about 15 1/2" tall. Just the right size to stick into the corner of a cabinet. He has a grubby coat & hat with the trim made from some old batting. The trim is handstitched onto the hat, pocket & coat. His eyes are handstitched on & his nose is pinch stitched by hand. I also gave him some rosey cheeks. His hair & beard are beautiful, as they are handfelted on using real coltswold sheeps wool. This wool is so soft & beautiful. This Santa is carrying 3 large candy canes that I painted the stripes on. I also tucked a small candy cane into his pock that is also handmade & Greman glitter glass added to it. On his hat brim & in his pocket is some sprigs of preserved juniper. I smells awesome!! This Santa is ready to travel to your home in time for Christmas! He comes all signed & dated. This is a pattern by Season to Season.
This a very different kind of candle for your primitive Christmas tree!! These "candles" are actually made from fabric with just the right amount of paint, sanding, and glitter for an awesome effect on your prim tree. Each one is about 10" long including the clothes pin that is attached to the bottom of the "candle". The main part of the candle looks like real wax and the flame has been painted & then very fine glitter added to look like a real flame. In the bottom is an old clothes pin so that you can attach it to a branch on your tree. There's also a small piece of greenery at the base of the candle. When you add lights to your tree, these candles look awesome as they glitter in the light. This is a pattern by My Primitive Saltbox.
